Scarecrow Contest

Are you ready to create a scarecrow?

As part of the Centennial Celebration, we are having a Historical Scarecrow Contest. Entries are limited to the first 60 people who apply. Families, groups, neighborhoods, companies, or organizations can sign up using an entry form available at the
Sunnyvale Heritage Park Museum
.

Each scarecrow must be the same dimensions but are open to your interpretation of a historical “character” in Sunnyvale over the past 150 years. Make yours a Martin Murphy, a Mr. or Mrs. Sunnyvale, an orchardist, farmer, former Mayor, cannery worker, fireman, saloon owner, computer geek, Ohlone, Libbys water tower, or any character or site from our past or present that you choose.

All scarecrows will be on display at the Centennial weekend celebration and judged by a group of volunteers. Come and join the fun; be a part of this historical weekend!

There are limited entries for the Sunnyvale Centennial Scarecrow Contest. Check out the rules and be the first ones to enter this fabulous contest.
